About This Meeting

We're a peer-led meeting rooted in the Recovery Dharma program — a Buddhist-inspired, non-theistic path to recovery from the suffering of addiction of any kind. No prior meditation experience is needed. All are welcome.

Each meeting begins with a short (20 minute) silent sitting meditation. At most meetings we read from the Recovery Dharma book, followed by open sharing.

Once a month, we support a speaker from our sangha to share about their experience with the dharma has helped in their recovering from the suffering of addiction.

What to Expect

Meetings run about 70-90 minutes. You're welcome to arrive a few minutes early to get settled. There's no requirement to share — silence and listening is just as important as speaking. Newcomers are encouraged to simply observe their first time if that feels right.

First time? Just show up. You don't need to know anything about Buddhism or meditation. Bring yourself exactly as you are.

Resources

The Recovery Dharma book is available as a free PDF from the Recovery Dharma website, or as a print edition.

We have plenty of copies at the meeting, and sell them at cost ($7) if you would like one to take home.
